Saifrood Unity and Aid Organization (SUAO)

Saifrood Unity and Aid Organization (SUAO) is a humanitarian, non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of marginalized and crisis-affected communities across Afghanistan. We work to reduce vulnerability, strengthen resilience, and support people in rebuilding their lives through sustainable development, education, healthcare services, and livelihood opportunities. Our work is guided by compassion, accountability, and a strong commitment to human dignity and social inclusion.

Our Mission

SUAO’s mission is to empower individuals and communities to live safer, healthier, and more productive lives. We aim to address urgent humanitarian needs while also investing in long-term solutions that reduce poverty, promote equal access to essential services, and support communities to recover and move forward with dignity. We prioritize people who face the greatest barriers, including women and girls, persons with disabilities, returnees, and families affected by poverty, displacement, and natural disasters.

Our Core Areas of Work

Sustainable Development and Livelihood Support
SUAO supports communities to build stable and sustainable income sources. We promote practical livelihood solutions through vocational training, income-generating activities, small business support, and agriculture and livestock development. Our work focuses on strengthening household resilience and helping families become more economically independent.

Education and Capacity Building

We believe education is one of the most effective pathways to long-term development. SUAO supports access to learning for marginalized children and youth by improving education opportunities, providing essential learning materials, and promoting skills development programs. Where possible, we also deliver literacy and vocational training initiatives that help young people and adults build employable skills.

Healthcare and Well-being

SUAO works to improve access to essential health services, especially in underserved and hard-to-reach areas. We support health facilities with critical supplies, strengthen community health awareness, and deliver targeted health initiatives such as maternal and child health support, nutrition awareness, hygiene promotion, and disease prevention activities.

Emergency Relief and Humanitarian Assistance

In emergencies, SUAO responds quickly to support affected families with life-saving assistance. Depending on the situation and identified needs, our response may include food assistance, clean water, basic shelter support, essential household items, and urgent health-related support. Our priority is to reduce immediate suffering while ensuring assistance reaches the most vulnerable people in a safe and dignified way.

Our Approach

SUAO follows a community-based approach that ensures local ownership and long-term impact. We engage community leaders, local stakeholders, and grassroots structures to identify needs, prioritize vulnerable groups, and design practical solutions. We are committed to inclusive programming and strive to ensure that women, girls, and people with disabilities can safely access our services. Through coordination and partnership with national and international actors, we aim to deliver effective, transparent, and sustainable support.
