In the heart of the Sheida plain of Herat province, along the road leading to the children’s clinic, lives a family whose story tells of pain, hope, and endurance.
Naser, a man from Kabul province who is disabled in his right leg, returned to his homeland with ten family members after years of displacement and hardship in Iran. But his return home marked the beginning of a new chapter of difficulties.
Today, Naser and his family live in a clay and worn-out house, far from even the most basic necessities of life. The roof of this house is an unsafe shelter, and their table is often empty of bread. They have neither access to safe drinking water, nor enough food, nor proper clothing, nor even the opportunity for their children’s education.
The eyes of Naser’s children are filled with the silent dream of a future — a dream that struggles to breathe under the shadow of poverty and homelessness. These children, who should be in school and laughing, are today fighting an unequal battle against hunger and cold.
The survey team of the Saifrood Unity and Aid Organization (SUAO) witnessed firsthand the depth of this family’s suffering during their visit. Their situation is so severe that even the most basic human needs are unmet. No one should have to live like this — especially children who are just at the beginning of life’s journey.
This family is a clear example of endurance in the face of poverty and hardship — yet their hope lies in the kind hands of those who still believe that help can change lives.
Naser and his children are in urgent need of assistance: a safe shelter, warm food, clean drinking water, and a chance for education.
Let us join hands and bring this family’s life from the darkness of need into the light of hope.
Your help today is their salvation tomorrow.
