SUAO responds to earthquakes, floods, conflict, displacement and other humanitarian emergencies by providing rapid, needs-based and accountable assistance to affected communities.

We provide multipurpose and sector-specific cash assistance that enables vulnerable households to address their most urgent needs while maintaining dignity, choice and control.

SUAO supports vulnerable people—including returnees, displaced families, women, children and persons with disabilities—to access protection services, civil documentation, information and appropriate referrals.

We work to improve access to healthcare through medical equipment, essential supplies, health-awareness activities and support to underserved health facilities and communities.

SUAO supports inclusive learning by providing educational materials, improving learning environments and expanding opportunities for children and young people in underserved communities.

We help vulnerable households strengthen their economic resilience through vocational skills, agricultural support, income-generating activities and livelihood recovery initiatives.

We work with communities to identify local priorities, strengthen participation and develop sustainable solutions to social, economic, environmental and disaster-related challenges.

SUAO strengthens the knowledge, systems and leadership of staff, volunteers, community structures and local organizations through training, mentoring and practical support.
